Arnold Arboretum

Spring is blooming. I've put away our puffy coats and snow gear.

(Am I tempting fate? And by the way, was that really the much hyped New England winter? Where were the icy roads? The frozen nostrils? Oh well. There's always next year. Maybe this was a mild one to lull the Texan into a false sense of complacency.)

So spring. We stopped by The Arnold Arboretum this morning on this unbelievably glorious day. Trees were in bud. Flowers bloomed. Fish and froglets were swarming in the overflowing ponds. If you haven't stopped by lately, do. The Forest Hills stop on the MBTA Orange Line places you right outside the arboretum gates. There are miles of trails, some paved that are perfect for strollers, bicycles, and scooters. A perfect place to while away a few hours.
